In the rapid urbanization, transportation infrastructure plays an important role in leading the regional and urban development in China. Under the current background of New Urbanization Planning in the 21st century, transportation becomes the key to promote healthy urbanization process and sustainable development of mega-regions. Based on the strength in regional and urban transportation, Institute of Urban Planning and Design, BJTU will explore the ways and means to face the challenges of transportation issues in China in the trend of big data and smart city.
