On October 22, 2016, the Chinese Academy of urban planning Foreign Academic Committee was held in Tianjin. The theme of the conference is "transformation and synergy: the urban and regional development in the global perspective". They discusses the new trend of thought and the focus in the field of urban planning under the current global political, economic and social development. The school of architecture and design of Beijing Jiaotong University invited four experts from University of Cincinnati, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the academic committee through talent recruitment project. They took part in the roundtable discussion session, and gave a wonderful speech. She Gaohong, vice president and Zhang Chun, associate director of urban and rural planning department, also participated in the activities, reflecting the Beijing Jiaotong University talent recruitment project combined with the of Chinese city planning activities in depth , playing win-win effect between overseas resources and China city planning service.
Currently, there are two professors at the school of architecture and art, Beijing Jiaotong University as the member of the academic committee of foreign urban planning.
